Method Steps
-
Prepare the subfloor
Remove all preexisting flooring before attempting to install QuietWalk. Ensure the subfloor surface is level clean, dry, and free from any debris or dust.
-
Roll out the underlay
Roll QuietWalk Underlay over the subfloor with the vapour barrier film (imprinted side) facing up. The perimeter edges of QuietWalk need to be 12 to 20mm away from the wall, this will allow the material to settle without bunching.
-
Tape and seal
Seams need to be butted together flush, do not overlap the underlay, tape the seams with Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape.
-
Install your flooring
Install your SPC-Lux flooring or your chosen flooring according to the manufacturer's installation instructions.
