YBS BreatherQuilt is the higher-performing and less costly alternative to TLX Gold.
BreatherQuilt is an insulating 2 in 1 Multifoil and Breathable Membrane designed for over rafter use. You can save cost, installation time and depth in your project by incorporating this high performing multifoil. Compressing to just 7mm over rafter, it takes up the virtually the same depth of a standard roofing membrane, whilst adding excellent thermal benefits.
This breathable multifoil consists of 11 layers of low emissivity reflective foils and wadding. All layers are perforated to create breathability, and to assist in eliminating condensation in your roof. You will also find Double Sided Tape included within BreatherQuilt, this speeds up the installation process, when overlapping the product.

BreatherQuilt comes on easy to handle 1.2m x 10m rolls (12m2 Coverage). Install BreatherQuilt by stapling horizontally and slightly draped over the rafters, before tile battens. If you wish to install BreatherQuilt taut (no drape), a counter batten is advised before laying tile battens.

BreatherQuilt is made up of 11 layers of breathable aluminium foil and wadding with an added outer layer of Breathable Membrane. This added breathable membrane layer saves time, cost and valuable roof height space because you don’t need to install a breathable membrane over rafters!
