YBS Breathe-R Ultra is a 2 in 1 Breathable Membrane and Foil Insulation product, designed for insulating above Pitched Roofs.
Breathe-R Ultra replaces traditional Breathable Membranes, whilst reflecting 95% of radiant energy, saving money on energy bills.
Its Quick and Easy To Install and saves on Cost, Space and Installation Time compared to traditional insulation materials such as Kingspan and Rockwool.
At just 11mm in thickness and comprising of 3 layers, Breathe-R gives a high thermal resistance of 0.711m²K/W, equivalent to around 30mm of EPS Insulation.
In comparison to standard, traditioanl breathable membranes, Breathe-R Ultra reduces heat loss by up to 54%, saving money by reducing energy costs.
Using highly reflective insulation grade aluminium foil, the internal facing laer is perforated to allow moisture to pass freely between the internal and external surfaces.
If you require a greater thermal performance and going through Building Control, we would recommend our BDA certified product, BreatherQuilt Insulation.

How does Breathe-R Ultra Work?
Breathe-R Ultra works by reflecting heat back into the home, whilst allowing moisture to escape through the product, preventing the risk of condensation. It replaces a traditional Breathable Membrane, whilst adding a great thermal performance to the Pitched Roof.
How do i cut Breathe-R Ultra?
Breathe-R Ultra can be easily cut using our Multifoil Scissors, which can be purchased seperately or as part of our EcoPro Multifoil Fitting Kit.
Is Breathe-R suitable for Walls?
Yes, Breathe-R Ultra can be used externally on Timber Framed Walls in replacement of a traditional Breatheable Membrane.
Is there a thicker version of the Breathe-R Ultra
Yes, for improved thermal benefits we would recommend our BreatherQuilt Insulation, which holds an R-Value of 1.62 and is a higher performing and less cost alternative to TLX Gold. This product is also BDA certified for Building Control.
