How to Install Our EcoPro Caravan Insulation Kit

EcoPro Caravan Insulation Kit is designed to insulate underneath Static Caravans to prevent cold from rising into your living space. It is a common problem that most Static Caravans are built with little to no underfloor insulation, which makes the floors extremely cold throughout winter months. Here is a step by step guide showing you how to install our EcoPro Caravan Insulation Kit.

Method steps

1. Install the Reflective Multifoil Insulation

start by rolling out the insulation either horizontally or vertically under the wooden floor joists.

2. Staple the Insulation

Staple the insulation whilst you're rolling out the insulation and staple it every 300mm to ensure it's secure. Top Tip: Make sure the EcoQuilt is pulled taught, this will compress the layers and make the stapling process easier.

3. Cut the excess Insulation

Once you have secured the first section, cut any excess material off with the scutting knife provided in the Kit.

4. Repeat the process

Install the next section in the exact same way, stapling to the joists and cutting off any excess. Remember to ensure a 50mm overlap of material.

5. Tape and Seal

Use the Thermaseal Foil Joining Tape to seal the perimeter and any joins in the insulation. This will create a Vapour Control Barrier.
