YBS SuperQuilt Floor Insulation

YBS SuperQuilt is a high performance multifoil insulation designed for concrete, floating and suspended timber floors.

Suitable for new builds, renovations and DIY projects, SuperQuilt provides excellent thermal performance while using minimal floor space. It is fully certified and can also help improve the thermal efficiency and EPC rating of your property.

What is YBS SuperQuilt Floor Insulation?

YBS SuperQuilt is a 19 layer multifoil insulation manufactured in the UK by Soprema, formerly YBS Insulation.

It combines high density foam, wadding and highly reflective true aluminium foil to reflect up to 98% of radiant energy.

SuperQuilt is approximately 40mm thick when open and compresses to around 10mm during installation, making it ideal where floor height is limited.

Floor Insulation Applications

Suspended Timber Floors

SuperQuilt can be recessed between timber floor joists and stapled securely into position.

YBS Saddle Clips can also be used to make installation quicker and easier.

Concrete Floors

For concrete floor applications, SuperQuilt can be installed over the concrete before the timber floor structure is fitted above.

Its slim profile makes it an excellent alternative where traditional insulation would take up too much floor depth.
